A: Heil Ready Truck department was started to provide industry preferred refuse body/chassis combinations ready to be put into service immediately. With Heil’s purchasing power, we are able to negotiate chassis pricing at lower prices than the average hauler and pass the savings on to our customers.
Q: How does Heil decide on refuse specifications?
A: Heil has a long history in the refuse industry. With over 50 distributor locations throughout North America, we are able to receive quality feedback on what is generally needed by haulers today. The Heil Ready Truck program offers the most popular chassis/body configurations and adds a one-year body warranty on all Ready Trucks sold.
Q: How soon can I expect to have my Heil Ready Truck after I place my order?
A: If the unit you purchase is ready to go and needs no options added, Ready Truck can have the unit shipped that day or at the latest the following day. Some Heil Ready Trucks are kept in prime in case a customer would like to paint it other than white. Painting a body will delay delivery by no more than two weeks.
Q: Can I add options to Ready Trucks?
A: Yes. Options such as reevers, latch kits, cameras, etc. can be added to Heil Ready Trucks. Additional options will delay quick delivery, but most options can be added in less than two weeks. It is always best to contact your Heil distributor or sales representative to make sure.
Q: Can I build a custom body using a Heil Ready Truck in-stock chassis?
A: Yes. Heil keeps a supply of bare bone chassis in-stock for such cases. When this occurs, the lead time is decreased because obviously, we have the chassis in-stock. However, the order will be subject to delivery based on body lead time. Body lead times generally fall between 20-40 working days depending on the model ordered. If we do not have the chassis in-stock, Heil Ready Truck has many dealer contacts of all manufacturers to search for the chassis you need.
Q: Does Heil Ready Trucks sell chassis only?
A: Heil Ready Trucks was developed to decrease lead times between haulers and chassis/body manufacturers. Heil is not a chassis dealer and makes it a general rule not to sell chassis only.
Q: Does Heil sell Ready Trucks direct?
A: Heil takes pride in our vast distributor network. While selling refuse equipment is important to us, servicing the equipment is more important. It is vital to us to connect our customers to our distributors or Heil direct sales representatives so we can provide value added information before the sale and avenues for parts and service after the sale. We start this relationship early in the sales process by encouraging our customers to purchase through our distribution network. For some units, such as older demos, used units or clearance equipment, Heil will elect at times to sell direct.
Q: How do I request a quote on a Heil Ready Truck?
A: Very simple. Find the unit you are interested in and click the “request a quote” button on the specific unit you are interested in purchasing. Once you fill out the short contact information form, the Heil distributor or direct sales representative assigned to your area will contact you.
