Founded in 1975, Vimar Machinery by Maurice Roden and eventually including his two sons, Michael and Garth, Vimar Equipment has been the respected name in refuse equipment for almost 50 years. In 2010, Todd Hystad bought into the company and partnered with the two brothers. The company currently is in Burnaby, British Columbia, and is home to 20 employees. In 2013, Vimar established True North Emergency and True North Environmental in the Pacific Northwest, providing equipment and services with locations in Marysville, WA, and Hillsboro, OR.
