Environmental Solutions Group and Waste Connections Join Forces, Pledging $20,000 to Chattanooga-Based Children’s Organizations

Two environmental industry leaders collaborate to back the Children’s Advocacy Center
and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chattanooga.

CHATTANOOGA, TN, August 28, 2023 – Environmental Solutions Group (ESG) and Waste Connections recently joined forces in a shared commitment to ‘Improving Lives.’ Their recent combined donation of $20,000, supports two highly respected Chattanooga nonprofits: the Children’s Advocacy Center of Hamilton County and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chattanooga. This joint effort underlines the mutual goal of both corporations and the beneficiary organizations to provide the children of Hamilton County with essential services.

ESG President Pat Carroll stated: “Our mission at ESG transcends mere business. We are wholly committed to enriching the communities we serve. Standing together with Waste Connections in support of both the Children’s Advocacy Center of Hamilton County and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chattanooga underscores our vision of ‘Improving Lives.’ We remain committed to doing everything possible to ensure that every child in our communities, regardless of their circumstances, benefits from a healthy, nurturing environment.”

Michelle Little, VP Community Affairs & Corporate Giving and Women’s Network Corporate Representative of Waste Connections, shared, “Waste Connections has always been driven to give back to the communities we operate in. Partnering with ESG to support these noble organizations symbolizes our shared vision for a better tomorrow. Together, we can make a substantial difference.”

Kristen Pavlik McCallie, Executive Director of the Children’s Advocacy Center, graciously acknowledged the donation, noting, “This substantial contribution from ESG will propel our mission forward, ensuring hope, help, and healing for Hamilton County children who have experienced abuse. The alarming statistic that one in ten children will face sexual abuse before their 18th birthday makes partnerships like this indispensable.”

Jessica Whatley, CEO of BBBS of Greater Chattanooga, echoed similar sentiments. “We are incredibly grateful to ESG for their generous donation. This support not only strengthens our ability to empower more young people, but also signifies the potential for an impactful partnership in the future. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and create a brighter future for our community.”

This collaboration reflects the passionate dedication of ESG, Waste Connections, the Children’s Advocacy Center, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chattanooga to uplift and support the vulnerable youth of Chattanooga and other communities across the nation.
